Description
Welcome to a circular hiking tour that takes you to Kručica-katun mountain full of landscape and rich history.
Climb to Kručica
The first steps of the tour take you through the village of Stabna, where a gentle ascent through the forest begins between imposing cliffs. Rising above the village, views of the surrounding mountains are provided, creating an ideal prelude to the adventure that follows.
The handle
On Kručica, you will be greeted by spacious meadows and pastures covered with colorful mountain flowers, the scent of which spreads through the air. This area used to be the habitat of local herders who came in the summer for an easier herding life. Today, only one man lives on Krucica, and the Krucica village preserves its cultural heritage, including the medieval tombstones of Stećka.
Natural Encounters: Roe deer, chamois and wild horses
While exploring Kručica, you will have the opportunity to meet roe deer, chamois and maybe a small herd of wild horses that run freely in this mountainous area.
